I'm Ameet Palkar, a design leader currently based in Mumbai. My career started in a training room: thirteen years training, facilitating, building leaders and leadership programs. In 2016 I retrained from scratch as a product designer. Today, I lead design at one of India's largest design agencies, and apart from design, I spend my time on a question that connects all of it: how do people and teams do their best work, now that AI is changing what that work is?
What I believe
AI's real value to design teams isn't making designers faster at design. It's removing the non-design work around design, so the hours we spend are hours of actual design thinking. And getting teams to work that way isn't a tooling problem. It's a people problem.
